Instalment Purchase

Sahwira Glen Forest Memorial Park · Nyaradzo Group

⚠️ Plots bought on instalment are for FUTURE use only.

A grave purchased under an instalment plan is reserved in your name but cannot be used for a burial until the entire balance has been paid in full. If you may need the plot immediately, choose Full Payment instead.

1. Scope

These terms govern any plot purchase at Sahwira Glen Forest Memorial Park where the customer has elected to pay in monthly instalments rather than in full at the point of sale. By selecting "Instalment" at checkout and ticking the acknowledgement box, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms.

2. Reservation, not ownership-for-use

  • Upon successful payment of the down payment, the specific plot is reserved in the customer's name and removed from public sale.
  • The plot becomes available for burial use only when the full purchase price (including all instalments, maintenance, placard, and tombstone components) has been paid up.
  • The customer is recorded as the registered purchaser from the date of the first payment, but the right of use vests only on full settlement.

3. Instalment schedule

  • Instalment plans for grave pre-purchase start at a maximum of six (6) months for a single-grave purchase. Sahwira may permit longer plans for larger orders or by special arrangement — the portal will show you the maximum allowed when you place the order.
  • The customer chooses any whole number of months from 1 up to the maximum that applies to their order.
  • Monthly instalments are due on the same calendar day each month as the original purchase, until the balance reaches zero.
  • Payment may be made through any of the channels supported by the portal (EcoCash, Visa/Mastercard via Paynow, Sahwipay), or as otherwise arranged with Sahwira.

4. Early settlement

The customer may settle the outstanding balance in full, or pay any amount in advance of the schedule, at any time. Early settlement makes the plot available for burial immediately, subject to administrative confirmation by Sahwira.

5. Where the plot is needed before full payment

If a burial need arises before the instalment plan is complete:

  • The customer (or their representative or beneficiary) may settle the outstanding balance in a single payment, at which point the plot becomes immediately usable.
  • Where the customer holds a Nyaradzo funeral policy that covers the grave purchase, the policy may settle the outstanding balance in line with the policy's terms.
  • Where neither option is possible, Sahwira will arrange a like-for-like alternative or a refund of paid instalments, subject to a small administrative deduction. Each case is reviewed individually by Sahwira.

6. Default and missed payments

  • A payment is considered late after 7 days past its due date.
  • After 60 days of missed payment, Sahwira will contact the customer to discuss reinstatement or revised terms.
  • If, after good-faith efforts, the customer is unable to continue, Sahwira reserves the right to cancel the reservation and return paid instalments less a reasonable administrative deduction.

7. Cancellation by the customer

The customer may cancel an instalment purchase at any time before the plot is used for a burial. Refund of paid instalments is at Sahwira's reasonable discretion, taking into account administrative costs, market price changes, and any maintenance or services already provided.

8. Pricing

The price quoted in the portal at the time of purchase is the contracted price for the chosen plot and is not affected by subsequent price changes at Sahwira. The customer's instalment total reflects the listed instalment price, which may differ from the cash price to reflect the deferred-payment arrangement.

9. Records

All correspondence, instalment receipts, and the original order confirmation are retained in the customer's portal account under My Orders. The customer is encouraged to download or print the order confirmation for their records.

10. Contact

Questions or concerns about an instalment purchase should be raised through the in-portal chat ("Talk to a human"), by emailing Sahwira at the contact details provided in your order confirmation, or through the Nyaradzo self-service portal if you are a policy holder.

These terms are subject to the laws of Zimbabwe. Sahwira may amend these terms from time to time; the terms applicable to a customer's purchase are those in force at the time of the original purchase.
